- Join, list products and make an online sale (or to yourself to practice / prior auto product shipping setup; step 6 for free).
- Determine which products to package and the total size and weight.
- Confirm the shipping destination.
- Determine which shipping carrier is being used and calculate the shipping cost.
- Send the package out via the appropriate carrier.
- Auto setup the exact packaging sizes / weights / costs per product(s) in your online store portal once determined (pre / prior first sale experience for free).
- From the Shopify app, tap Orders.
- In the Unfulfilled section tap CREATE SHIPPING LABEL.
- In the Items section, tap Edit customs information.
- Fill out the customs information form, then tap Save.
- Tap Buy shipping label when you are ready to purchase the label.

- When your customers complete a checkout, they're given a URL to the order status page, which is the final page of the checkout process. They can track the status of their order on this page, and might contact you if they have questions about their order. You can access the page that they see from your Shopify admin.
- From your Shopify admin, go to Orders. Click the order that you want to edit. Click Edit. Under the item that you want to edit, click Adjust quantity. e.g. From your Shopify admin, go to Orders. Click the order that you want to refund. In the Order Details section, click Refund.
- Fulfill part of an order manually. If a customer placed and paid for an order with multiple items, and one or more of the items are out of stock or a pre-order, then you might want to fulfill part of the order so that you can ship the items separately.
- When you fulfill an order in Shopify, you begin the process of sending the order on its way to the customer. The customer receives an email telling them that their item has shipped, and the order's Fulfillment Status displays as Fulfilled on the Orders page.
- Shopify automatically sends the "Order Confirmed" and "Order Shipped" notifications for all the orders. But, the "Order out for delivery" and "Shipment delivered" notifications will only be sent out when you fulfill orders that have tracking information from USPS, UPS, FedEx, and Canada Post.
If you are buying a shipping label through Shopify Shipping and the label includes tracking, then a tracking number is added automatically.
